Father of the Bride II (1995)

Content: In this sequel to “Father of the Bride,” George Banks must accept the reality of his daughter becoming a new mother; a huge adjustment, but nothing compared to the mid-life crisis that hits when he discovers that his own wife is pregnant! His journey to regain his youth acts as a catalyst for a kind of “rebirth” of his attitude on life in this extended family/pregnancy film.

Assignment: One couple in this film is having a baby in their twenties, the other in their late forties. What advantages and disadvantages will each face due to their choice to be parents at that particular age? How will society be different as more and more couples delay childbirth until they are older? What issues might arise with this particular family?
