Essay #2-"Worn Path"-Perseverance

  • Due Oct 27, 2014 by 11:59pm
  • Points 100

This essay has to do with "A Worn Path."  After you have read the story, think about how Phoenix persevered; in fact, why was she named Phoenix--what does the name mean?  This is a 500-600 word essay.  The first paragraph should introduce Phoenix and how she persevered (one paragraph).  The rest of the essay (at least one and two-thirds of it) must be about how you, too, have persevered (if you cannot think of something about yourself, think of someone you know well and relate how that person has persevered).

You must have:

1. a parenthetical reference (google "Perseverance"-Quotations); many quotations will come up; choose one that you like and insert it somewhere within  your paper with the last name of the person who said it and n.p. for no page since it is from the internet--like this:  (Churchill n.p.).

2. a Works Cited to document your information.  For example:   Churchill, Winston.  then copy the website
