Proctored Test Information
You will have a total of 3 proctored tests in this course (2 unit tests and a final exam). That means you will have to go to an approved location at your local community college to take the test. You will have to identify yourself with a picture ID before the proctor will allow you to take the test.
The deadline for completing the tests in this course is listed on the Course Calendar. Each test will require a password in order to access it. The proctors will have your password for the test. After the proctor enters the password, you can complete the test. You should always show your work and write your answers on your scratch paper and leave them with the proctor. Make certain that your work is neat, well-organized, and in pencil. Number the problems. The proctor will mail your scratch paper to me. If there is a technical glitch (always a possibility), I will have a copy of your answers and you will not have to retake a different test. You may use a TI 30XIIS calculator or other non-programmable scientific calculator on tests, but you MAY NOT USE A CELL PHONE or GRAPHING CALCULATOR.
All scheduling at any Hinds' campus will be done through SmarterProctoring. Students MUST schedule exams at least 48 hours in advance. Appointments will not be taken by email or phone. Proctored testing is available at different times at each location. Time slots fill up quickly (especially around midterm and final exams) so please schedule your times early in the semester. Hinds students taking MSVCC online courses can test at any of the approved MSVCC testing sites in the state (all 15 community colleges will have testing sites). If you wish to schedule a proctored exam at another location other than Hinds, you will need to contact that specific school to schedule the exam. Here is a list of locations (Links to an external site.)
