College is all about filling your tool-box with a variety of tools. Hopefully by the end of this course, you will have many more mathematical tools at your disposal.

How to Navigate this Course:
I try to put everything in order under MODULES. You can also refer back the the Syllabus page for my contact info and for the policies of this course as well as a schedule of due dates for assignments.
The majority of your homework will be done on another website, www.HindsCC.MyLabsPlus.com Links to an external site.. Please try to log into your MyLabsPlus account as soon as possible. For more information, please refer to the About Your Homework (My Labs Plus) page. Please note that your subscription to MyLabsPlus is included in your tuition, you do not need to buy access or a textbook for this class. An E-book is included on your MyLabsPlus account.
Proctored Exams:
You will be required to take 3 proctored Exams.
- Unit 1 Exam will be available from 9/28 to 10/4/2015
- Unit 2 Exam will be available from 10/25 to 11/1/2015
- The comprehensive Final Exam will be available from 11/28 to (Friday) 12/4/2015
Proctored Exams must be taken at any of our proctor sites. To see a listing of the already approved proctor sites and their hours of operation, visit http://msvcc.squarespace.com/proctoring/?SSScrollPosition=131 Links to an external site.. You will need to make an appointment at least 3 days in advance to guarantee you will have a seat. I recommend making your appointments even further in advance if you have a tight schedule. You can register for your proctored exams using smartproctoring.

Where to go for HELP!!!
Throughout the course, you will definitely have times when you need some assistance. The following is a short list of places you may go for help:
1. If you are having trouble accessing your MyLabsPlus account, call Pearson at 888-883-1299.
2. If you are having trouble accessing your course on Canvas, call the Hinds Community College help desk at 601-857-3344.
3. Each campus offers FREE MATH TUTORING for current students. The hours and locations will vary, so let me know and I will get you the schedule for the campus closest to you.
