“Everyday Use” - 500-600 words; 5-paragraph structure (can have more than 5); underline thesis; provide a title; include 1 parenthetical reference (a quotation from internet from a critique that you think is useful about the story); Work Cited (place at bottom of second page). You do not need an outline. Essay contains: 1. Your idea about the story itself—what you think the value of the story is; 2. How it applies to life in general; 3. How it applies to you (write about the item that you have chosen that the story makes you think about—why this is important to you?).
