HindsNet Credentials

HindsNet credentials are the Hinds Community College student's login for Hinds computers, My.Hinds, Canvas and email.

Example:

Name: Hinds Eagle
ID#: 1234567
Date of Birth: May 25, 1983

Username: E1234567 (First letter of last name and HCC ID#)
Initial Password: HE052583$ (first letter of first name (capitalized), first letter of last name (capitalized), 6 digit birthday, $)

Why do I need this information? 
Not only will you need this information if you use a computer at any Hinds Community College campus but you will also need your HindsNet credentials for Canvas and My.Hinds. 

 

Wait a minute, what about email? 
You will need it for your email as well.  Fortunately, you will access your email from your My.Hinds account. You will learn about this in the next module.

 

Password Reset

Make sure that you enroll in "Password Reset" via your My.Hinds account. This will allow you to reset your password anytime, without having to contact the IT help desk. All students must enroll in Password Reset in order for it work properly.
