GRADE DETERMINATION
Grade Determination:
The course grade is based on 500 points (actually 510 points were available as the Orientation Quiz counted 10 points). The 500 points came from 10 quizzes x 30 points each (300 points) and 2 major tests (Midterm & Final Exam @ 100 points each (200 points).
Under Grades, your current grade for all work completed shows in both the Assignments and Total columns. The grade shows as a percentage but if you place your mouse pointer on the number it shows as your points achieved over the total points attempted. Example: 300/350 = 86%
For your Grade in the course, convert the percentage (average) into a letter grade:
If the percentage is 90 to 100%, you have an “A” in the class.
If the percentage is 80 to 89.9%, you have a “B”.
If the percentage is 70 to 79.9%, you have a “C”.
If the percentage is 60 to 69.9%, you have a “D”.
If the percentage is less than 59.9%, the grade is an “F”.
Or you can just consider the number of points:
450-500 points = A
400-449 points = B
350-399 points = C
300- 349 points = D
Less than 300 points = F
In accordance with Distance Learning policy: A student will not pass this course if he/she does not pass at least one proctored test with a grade of D.
