Goals for Week One:

1. Familiarize yourself with Distance Learning Policies
2. Familiarize yourself with the Policies of this course
3. Review Basic Math facts
4. Log onto MyLabsPlus and start your working!

 

Objectives in MyLabsPlus:

Teach me how to Factor

 

There are many different methods to factor. You will find several different links here presenting three or four different methods. Please know that in MLP they will only cover grouping and trial & error. Decide which method works best and stick with it!!! Don't switch back and forth you will become confused. Factoring does not go away. It will be assumed you know how to factor day one of College Algebra.

1. Identify the GCF
2. Factor Out the GCF of a Polynomial’s Terms
3. Factor Polynomials by Grouping
