Math Lab – HCC math labs are available free to any Hinds student. They are staffed with math instructors and advanced math students to offer help at many levels. Each lab has different hours and protocols so call for more info:

Look around for videos, animations, and PowerPoint available under “Multimedia Library” and extra practice under “Study Plan”. There is also a “show me what I need to study” option under study plan that picks problems you missed on quizzes and tests so you can just practice the things you missed.

They have many instructional videos for math as well as many other subjects and they are constantly adding more. (look for “Math” – “Algebra Basics” and "Algebra 1" for this class)

www.coolmath.com (Links to an external site.) Links to an external site. – a fun website with lots of games, practice and help usually presented in a friendly less intimidating manner. (Look for “Algebra” to find topics from this class. You may also want to check out her “Math survival” page if you believe you have math anxiety or want tips on how to do better in math.)
