  • Write a five paragraph comparison-contrast essay on one of the prompts below.

  • The essay should have a minimum of 600+ words, employ standard American English, and follow MLA format. Specific MLA requirements are listed below.

  • You will not write an outline for this exam.

  • You may not choose a different topic than the prompts listed below.

  • You are allowed to type your essay in Microsoft Word and then copy-and-paste the final version into the answer box in Canvas.


Special Note About MLA Formatting for Proctored Exams: 
You are allowed to type and format your essay in Microsoft Word, and then copy-and-paste the essay into the submission box. (You are not allowed to upload a file for the exam.) The copy-and-paste may change some of the formatting, so I will be lenient about these possible changes. However, all required information must be in the essay, and I will not be lenient regarding grammar. 


Essay Format:

1) Use Times New Roman twelve point font            5) Put your name, my name (Mrs. Speights),
