My computer crashed. May I please have an extension?

Sorry, but no. It is your responsibility to deal with technical computer problems and to submit your assignments on time.

If you don't have access to a friend's computer, I recommend that you learn the hours of your local public library or of the computer lab in the nearest Hinds campus.

Please follow this link to see a list of the Hinds libraries: http://www.hindscc.edu/locations-facilities/libraries/additional-resources/index#gsc.tab=0 Links to an external site.

Don't despair though. I do drop two homework assignments (not an essay!), and you can submit a late essay with a penalty (see the course policy sheet). This will ensure that a one-time problem doesn’t count against you.

To avoid losing your work, make sure that you're regularly saving a copy to a flash drive or an online service such as Microsoft's OneDrive (available through your My.Hinds account in Office 365) or Dropbox Links to an external site..

If you do have a back-up copy of your work, you can always email your assignment to me at alspeights@hindscc.edu. As long as I receive the work by the due date, I will give you credit for what you submit.
