How do I see the comments on my written assignments?
For all of your "at-home" essays and other written assignments, do the following:
- Log into Canvas and go to our class website.
- Click on Grades.
- Click on the name of the assignment. The name will be a blue link.
- Example:
-
Your submitted assignment will appear, along with a “View Feedback” button.
Do not click on the assignment. This will just show you a copy of your submission.
You must click thebutton.
- You will see an image of your own paper with my comments on the paper.
Proctored exams are given through the Quiz section, and unfortunately, this means that I can't insert comments directly into Canvas. For those essays, I will copy your essay into a document on my computer, insert comments, and then save the file as a PDF that I will upload to Canvas. (Remember that you need Adobe Acrobat Reader to read PDF files. Available here: http://get.adobe.com/reader)
To access the file with the comments, do the following:
- Go to Grades.
- Find the assignment link: Essay 2 or Final Exam
- Click on either the blue link or on the comments bubble. The file will appear as a PDF file attachment that you can easily download.
