If you have become a little weary of the pace, maybe the advice from the tree will freshen you a bit.

 Prepare:

In Steps to Writing Well

  • Read:
  • Read Chapter 8 and 1/2 of chapter 9 (p. 199-241--very long chapter. 

 In Pocket Handbook

  •  Study Commas, semicolons, colons p. 94-96; 106-108;
  •  Study Punctuation/capitalization p. 653-56; 83-112; 116-119.

  Practice:  You may practice with this:  The first item that comes up is practice on colons, but the others are listed there also.  Again, these are for practice.  They will help you to write better, and you may see some of the same practices on a quiz later.
